Monroe is barely across the state line, Adrian and Lenawee County are a straight shot up US-223, and Ann Arbor marks the northern edge of our two-hour circle. Michigan's rules
Michigan's Identity Theft Protection Act (MCL 445.72a) requires any business or agency that removes personal information from its records to destroy it — and the statute defines destroy as shredding, erasing, or otherwise making the information unreadable and unrecoverable. Knowing violations are a misdemeanor with a fine per violation. Businesses already complying with federal disposal rules are considered compliant, which is one more reason to keep a certificate of destruction on file. The federal rules apply on top.

Is there a travel charge?
Not on recurring service — scheduled accounts never pay travel. One-time jobs have one flat charge, quoted up front: $75 within an hour of Galion, stepping up with drive time farther out, and waived on jobs of 100 boxes or more. The full table is on our pricing page.
